Lindsay Wunrow is a founding partner of Valdez Vilim & Wunrow, LLP. She focuses her practice in the area of immigration and nationality law, including family-based immigration, humanitarian immigration (asylum, VAWA, U Visas, T Visas and SIJS), naturalization, immigration appeals, and removal defense. She represents clients with cases before the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, and the Department of Justice.In 2019, Ms. Wunrow was selected as a “Rising Star” in immigration law by Super Lawyers. She currently serves as the Chair of the Immigration and Nationality Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) where she serves on the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) committee and Media Committee. In 2016, Ms. Wunrow traveled to Dilley, Texas to volunteer at the South Texas Family Residential Center, helping women and children seek asylum after fleeing violence in their home countries.Prior to co-founding Valdez Vilim & Wunrow, Ms. Wunrow practiced immigration law at a private firm in Chicago for 5 years. Ms. Wunrow graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Spanish. She received her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law in Syracuse, New York. She speaks Spanish, and is admitted to practice law in Illinois.
